Sidharth Malhotra raps as Jacqueline Fernandez grooves to ‘Bandook Meri Laila’ at the song launch

Sidharth Malhotra was the man of the moment as he turned a rapper at the ‘Bandook Meri Laila’ song launch from his upcoming film ‘A Gentleman’. The actor who has also rapped the song along with singers Sachin and Jigar sportingly sang his part at the event as co-star Jacqueline Fernandez grooved to the beats in her glamourous avatar.

Speaking about the song at the launch, directors Raj and DK said, “This song is one of its kind and it’s all because of Sachin and Jigar. It’s our fourth collaboration with them,” to which Sidharth added, “When I heard this song for the first time I fell in love with it because of its music and the attitude. I had practiced before so that I could rap.”

Sidharth plays a double role in the film and revealed, “When the teaser came out, it just had a small tune of this song and I received a lot of messages regarding it. We recently shot this video and there’s not much dance and half the video is from our film. I like action films and we as a team are trying to bring back action films back in trend. If it does well then we may come back with a sequel to this one.”

While the actor said that he would have been like Gaurav (his character in the film), Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Satte Pe Satta’ was his favourite double role film.

Looking gorgeous in a printed maxi gown, Jacqueline Fernandez was at her sporting best and danced to the beats of the song at the event. Speaking about learning pole dance, the actress said, “I did learn it as this film is based in Miami, pole dance is common out there. My character is completely opposite to that of Gaurav.”

The Sri Lankan hottie will also be seen with Varun Dhawan in ‘Judwaa 2’. On being quipped about how she is dealing with the two films at the same time, the actress said, “It’s not that difficult but luckily I don’t have two films releasing on the same date. As soon as this film releases, I’ll get busy with ‘Judwaa 2’ promotions.”
