Meerut: Meerut unit of UP STF today bursted a racket who claimed to get recruited the applicants in the ongoing recruitment of Indian Army and arrested 3 members of this gang . They used to demand a hefty amount in lieu of recruitment in the Army.
The Arrested accused are Ashish, Victor and Vir Bahadur all of them are from Meerut itself. The STF team seized 10 numbers of Army admit card, 12 numbers of UP Secondry Education Council high school marksheet, 3 numbers of higher secondry marksheet of UP Secondry Education Council, 4 mo bile phones, one identity card of Army service man, one Aadhar Card and a sum of Rs 6700 /- in cash.
The STF will initiate legal proceedings after lodging a case in the Kankarkheda police station of district Meerut.
The STF UP SSP Abhishek Singh while informing A News Of India described, we had certain information that for GD of Army recruitment some of the persons are illegally mediating and asking the applicants rupees any where between 2.5 lac to 3 lac for their illegal earnings. On the input the SSP Singh directed the CO STF Field Unit Meerut Brajesh Kumar Singh to gather further inputs and take action. On which the concern CO found the information to be correct and on the inputs of Police informant the STF team reached to the accused and thereafter all the 3 inbolved accused involved in this racket were arrested and some of the incriminating dk uments have also been recovered from the possession of the accused. The STF will initiate legal action against arrested accused once initial investigation is completed after lodging case in the Kankarkheda police station under which they were nabbed.”
