The 1200 MW Annupur power plant achieved a rare distinction of operating at 90% and above availability during the current financial year. The record was achieved on the back of exemplary project management efforts and usage of state-of-the-art technology. The power project has been commissioned using one of its kind Hydro bins and ESP technology allowing higher efficiency and availability. The project is among the top operational IPP in the country that is operating at higher efficiency levels than the industry bench mark. The 1200 MW Annupur power plant has won many coveted acclaims and has been recognized by many  industry forums for its performance.

Speaking on the achievement, the company spokesperson said,  “It gives us immense satisfaction and pride to the the team that has worked towards achieving this feat. The higher availability of power from the plant allows our customers in MP, UP and Haryana the state of Madhya Pradesh to achieve their vision of 24X7 power for all. I thank all our stakeholders especially the local community and administration in Madhya Pradesh for their constant support. The company is committed to its vision and to be an able partner in transforming lives with affordable and  reliable  energy.”

At this critical time when the country’s focus is towards providing 24 x 7 power for all, the need for conventional power to address the base load requirement and renewable energy to satiate the peak load is a prudent strategy. The balancing of the load for maintaining grid stability is another important contribution of conventional energy while pushing towards increasing the share of RE as part of its energy mix. In addition to supplying electricity, the company also has its robust CSR programmes in place with various schemes for livelihood, health & sanitation, education & digital literacy program, vocational training centers, farm-based intervention schemes.
