Thirty five years ago, Jayaram Banan made a humble beginning with the first South Indian vegetarian Rstaurant – Sagar Ratna in Defence Colony market, New Delhi. Today, he stands tall as the undisputed ‘Dosa King’ reigning supreme with more than 90 outlets across12 states.
Sagar Ratna has expanded its portfolio in Delhi by opening a new outlet at Pandav Nagar, Mayur Vihar Ph-1, New Delhi. The restaurant is located in Acharya Niketan Market which is a bustling market in Mayur Vihar and is surrounded by premium residential societies. It’s a COCO model store having 126 covers. The newly opened Sagar Ratna bears a modern contemporary look and is ideal for organizing Kitty parties and Birthday parties too.
Sagar Ratna serves the food aficionados with a variety of South Indian vegetarian delicacies in the most safe and hygienic conditions. There are a host of dosas, vadas, utthapams cooked in pure oil and ghee. The chutney sambar and rasam have just the right proportion of ingredients to tickle every palate. The thali is a mouth-watering combo of different vegetable preparations along with pickles, sweetened yogurt and crispy papads.
Authentic South Indian vegetarian delicacies have been the forte of Sagar Ratna. The nascent coffee taste emanating from the filter coffee is another specialty which Sagar Ratna offers as native as south Indian homes. Moreover, being served in the traditional steel dabra adds the authentic flavor of this concoction.
Besides featuring the authentic south Indian food, Sagar Ratna is also serving mouth watering North Indian and Chinese dishes as well. Their currently running Winter Special menu includes delicacies like Sarson ka Saag and Makke ki Roti, Gajar Halwa, Moong Dal Halwa and Hot Badam Milk.
