In the International Trade Fair 2023 at Pragati Maidan, in Hall no. 5, at the section organized by Government of Uttarakhand, recently a stall of excellent handmade namkeen and other organic food products made by differently abled persons has been set up by SHARP Handicapped Committee, Chamoli, Uttarakhand. Social worker Mrs. Asha Sharma of Asha Grah Udyog is running a women’s home industry wherr she gave skill development training to differently abled women and men and provided them a platform to showcase their talents. Chairman of the SHARP committee, Mr. Brijmohan Singh Negi along with the operators of Asha Grah Udyog, Mr. Prashant and Ms. Mrigakshee has been constantly promoting the talents of these differently abled people.
The products manufactured by them have been presented in the India International Trade Fair 2023. These organizations played an important role in making them self-reliant and they also assured that by organizing such training programs in various areas in collaboration with the Uttarakhand government, they will bring forward the differently abled people of Uttarakhand in such a manner that they have a regular source of income.
