Lucknow: Nagar Nigar will impose and collect commercial house tax from all such houses in the city where mobile towers are installed. Mobile towers installed on the top of all houses have to pay now tax as commercial property to the Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam for commercially exploiting properties for installing such mobile towers on its top.
The rate of tax will be levied 4 times of residential property applicable as per policy of GNN. Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam has already started conducting survey in this regard to identify such properties installed with mobile towers for slapping tax after sending notices to the owners of these properties.However, sending of notices to the property owners of installed mobile towers have already been started from the present month although the tax will be levied from financial year 2024-25.
The tax on the properties installed with mobile towers have to pay tax from the current financial year 2024-25. As per survey already conducted 684 towers installed on the houses have been detected. The tax levied on such houses installed with mobile towers have to pay tax at a commercial rate which is four times higher of floor house tax of a residential properties.
