New Delhi: The Narendra Modi government responded today in the Lok Sabha regarding the paper leak case in the country. In response to a question from opposition MP B. Manickam Tagore, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated that news of a leak or misconduct in the NEET exam was reported from only one center in Bihar. Bihar Police and the CBI are taking action there. Pradhan addressed the opposition’s claim of 70 paper leaks in seven years, saying that there is no data or evidence to confirm this. Following his statement, the house erupted in chaos.
Education Minister’s Counterattack on Rahul’s Statement
During the discussion on the NEET issue, Rahul Gandhi mentioned irregularities in the examination, stating that it concerns the future of millions of children. Rahul said that what is happening now is worrying the nation, and the Indian examination system is fraudulent. He claimed that many believe that if you are rich and have money, you can buy the Indian examination system. In response to Rahul’s statement, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan counterattacked, saying it is wrong to question the entire Indian examination system.
Children will not get justice if these ministers remain
Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav also expressed his views on this matter. Akhilesh said that while this government might not set other records, it will certainly set a record for paper leaks. He added that he would not delve into the background of how and when various institutions were created. He mentioned that students across the country were agitated about this issue, and after continuous newspaper reports and CBI investigations, facts are emerging, people are being caught, and they are being sent to jail.
He said, “I want to ask if the list of students who scored the highest marks center-wise will be released. There are several centers where 2,000 to 2,500 students have passed. Akhilesh mentioned that there are many places in various states where students have scored more than 650 marks. If this institution was so credible, what was the structure of the centers where the exams were held? As long as these ministers remain in their positions, the children will not get justice.”
