New Delhi: Atishi has been elected as the new Chief Minister of Delhi following the resignation of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener Arvind Kejriwal. Atishi is a close ally of Arvind Kejriwal. After being elected as Chief Minister, she gave her first reaction. She said, “Do not congratulate me on becoming Chief Minister. This is a time of sorrow as Arvind Kejriwal had to resign from the Chief Minister’s position.

After the resignation of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi has a new Chief Minister today. In a meeting of AAP MLAs, Atishi was chosen as the new Chief Minister of Delhi.

After being elected as Chief Minister, Atishi gave her first reaction. She said that no one should congratulate her on becoming the Chief Minister. “This is a time of sorrow as Arvind Kejriwal had to resign from the Chief Minister’s post.”

Kejriwal entrusted a great responsibility as a mentor

She said, “My mentor Arvind Kejriwal has given me a big responsibility. He entrusted me with this responsibility because of his faith in me. This can only happen in the Aam Aadmi Party. I come from a humble family. Arvind Kejriwal made me an MLA, then a minister, and today, I have been made the Chief Minister of Delhi.”

Kejriwal will return as CM

Atishi added, “I will run the government under Kejriwal’s guidance. Kejriwal’s arrest is unjust. The BJP used ED and CBI to frame him in the excise case. The people of Delhi want to see Arvind Kejriwal as the Chief Minister again. Elections will happen soon in Delhi, and the people will re-elect Kejriwal.”

BJP’s false allegations against Kejriwal
She stated, “In the past two years, the BJP conspired to harass Arvind Kejriwal. They made false corruption allegations against him and set their agencies, ED and CBI, after him. He was in jail for nearly six months. The Supreme Court not only granted him bail but also rebuked the central government and its agencies. If there had been any other leader in Kejriwal’s place, they would have resigned, but Kejriwal did not.”
