Patna/New Delhi :DMK president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Sunday challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Tamil Nadu and repeat the “divisive remarks” he allegedly made against the State during his recent election campaign in Bihar.

In a sharp response, Mr. Stalin accused the Prime Minister of attempting to create discord between different regions of the country for political gain. “Let him come to Tamil Nadu and make such comments here. The people of Tamil Nadu will give him a fitting reply,” the Chief Minister said.

Mr. Stalin also took aim at AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami, describing him as “double-faced” on issues concerning the State and claiming he was “gripped by fear of the BJP.”

The DMK chief further said that the people of Tamil Nadu stood firmly united against divisive politics and that the State’s secular and federal principles could not be shaken by “political provocations.”
