Ghaziabad:
A high-speed car overturned after losing control near Manipal Hospital on NH-9 in Ghaziabad on Friday, injuring three to four people. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.
According to information received, the car was travelling from Delhi towards Ghaziabad when the accident occurred. Near Manipal Hospital, the driver lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid another vehicle, causing the car to hit the divider and overturn on the road. The accident led to chaos at the spot for a short while.
Local residents and passersby immediately rushed to help and rescued the occupants from the overturned car. All the injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Doctors stated that the injuries were minor in nature.
The driver has been identified as Sandeep, a resident of Govindpuram, who also sustained minor injuries. Upon receiving information, the police reached the spot, removed the damaged vehicle, and restored traffic on NH-9.
Police officials said that preliminary investigation suggests overspeeding and sudden braking as possible causes of the accident. Further investigation is underway.
Due to the incident, traffic movement on NH-9 was briefly affected but was normalized quickly with police intervention.
