Women’s Harassment Awareness Event by Women’s Commission

Meerut: Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission Deputy Chairperson Smt Sushma Singh today reached Meerut and covened a meeting with the officials of various department on women’s harassment.  After the meeting, she also met with mediapersons and brief about the meeting. Smt Singh said the State Women Commission shall put extra effort and will manage in better way to stop women’s harassment, for which special attention will also be put in rural areas. She further added that programs will also be organized at various level to bring awareness in common people to stop such kind of women harassment cases.

Dr Sushma Singh, while briefing to media about the programme on women harassment, said “this program will also be organised in rural areas, nursing homes, schools and colleges besides all women oriented organisations, where women are involved and to create awareness amongst them. Apart from this,  if a woman has any problem then she can also contact to Women Commission directly, for which   Women Commission’s helpline number 6306511708 will be operational and victim or women in stress can make lodge complaint  at this number from 10 am to 5 pm. Thereafter action shall be taken immediately, after receiving complaints.”
