World Cancer Day: Dharamshila Narayan Hospital hosts an awareness program

New Delhi. Owing to the rising number of cancer cases in India, Dharamshila Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, conducted an awareness program in commemoration of World Cancer Day, aimed at spreading the word about the disease. Cancer is a highly formidable disease, but advancements in its treatment have progressed significantly. To increase awareness about this, World Cancer Day is observed every year on February 4th. Referring to the alarming estimate by the Indian government through ICMR and NPCP, stating that by 2025, there could be 16 akh cancer patients across the country, it becomes crucial for people to exercise caution.
The event, held on Saturday at Maharaja Agrasen College Auditorium, Vasundhara Enclave, Delhi, saw the participation of Mr Naveen Sharma, COO, Dharamshila Narayana Hospital, Delhi, along with a team of Cancer Specialists The program commenced with Ganesh Vandana and lighting of the lamp followed by the messages from leading cancer experts and Inspiring stories, witness uplifting performances, and share moments of joy and reflection. It was the celebration of life, courage, and the power of the human spirit.The program showcased the hospital’s achievements and success stories of patients to raise awareness.

Experts urged to remain vigilant about the increasing cases of cancer across all age groups, nating early symptoms like weight loss, fever, reduced appetite, coughing or blood in saliva, formation of lumps on the skin, changes in skin color, digestive issues, joint and muscle pain, excessive fatigue, and weakness. Recognizing any such changes in your body, they stressed the importance of promptly consulting a doctor. World Cancer Day is a day of reflection, support, and most importantly, celebration. They embraced the theme “Let’s Celebrate Your Journey to Wellness” because every challenge, and every victory deserves acknowledgment and celebration The program featured several patients who, with patience and guidance from doctors, achieved victory over cancer in challenging circumstances. Their stories remind us that cancer is about overcoming, surviving, and thriving.
