Ghaziabad: The district magistrate of Ghaziabad Ritu Maheshwari has raided in marriage registration and registry office located in Tehsil campus of Tuesday afternoon. The DM asked to provide data of marriage registration of current year. If any registration of marriage is done before required verification, the action will be taken against concern officers.
Ritu Maheshwari talked to visitors and tried to know the facts. The district magistrate orders to verify the marriage certificate and power of attorney from other states before registered them in Ghaziabad.
On other hand, the deed writers agitated in Tehsil campus in the protest of DM orders regarding ban registry of houses located in declared unauthorized colonies under Ghaziabad Development Authority.
“There are more than two hundred unauthorized colonies declared by GDA and it will grim injustice to the residents of such localities. If the district magistrate does not withdraw her orders, our association will move plea in high court, said Ramanand Goel, the senior deed writer.
