Uttar Pradesh: New Guidelines For Mini Lockdown of 55Hrs Every Weekend

Lucknow : In order to fight the spread of the corona virus, the UP government has made a big change in its order for mini lockdown.  Now UP government offices will remain closed in 55 hours of mini lockdown every week, other necessary services will continue, banks will also open.  All markets except necessary services  will now open in their weekly closed, all will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.

 State Chief Secretary RK Tiwari has issued revised guidelines of the government to open shop-markets on weekly closures and other days.  The bazaars and haats will be open on the usual captive days, while Saturday and Sunday will be closed.  Earlier, the government had also banned fruit, vegetable market and transport corporation buses during the first 55-hours detention, which has now been removed.  As per the order issued, now every governmental office will be closed on every Sunday as well as Saturday.  The government has issued guidelines for closing all shops, markets and haats weekly and opening shop-markets on other days.  According to the mandate, there will be a lockdown in the state from ten o’clock on every Friday, which will last till five every Monday morning. All Administration Department of UP  has also been issued an order to strictly follow this.
