UP Municipal Elections: Allahabad High Court Lucknow Bench canceled OBC reservation notification

Lucknow. Allahabad’s Lucknow Peeth has given a big decision regarding the civic elections in Uttar Pradesh. In this case, the High Court has canceled the OBC reservation. The court said in its order that all the seats of OBC reservation will be general. The court said that no reservation can be given without the triple test.
Let us tell you that a hearing was held on December 24 in the Lucknow bench of the High Court. The court had reserved the verdict in the local body elections OBC reservation case. A division bench of Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyay and Justice Saurabh Lavania of the Lucknow High Court bench gave the verdict on Tuesday.

Petitioners’ advocate LP Mishra and Additional Chief Standing Counsel Amitabh Rai argued the matter at length on behalf of the state government. Rai said that the rapid survey is as good as the triple test formula. The bench prima facie did not agree with the arguments of the State Government.
