Ghaziabad. Naveen Pal, a resident of Bhim Nagar, Thana Crossing Republic, Ghaziabad, has been arrested on charges of providing classified documents to Pakistan. He was posted in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The Ghaziabad Commissionerate Police says that Naveen Pal is an employee of the Ministry of External Affairs in Delhi. A Pakistani woman has obtained these documents by trapping him in a honeytrap.
The Police Commissionerate of Ghaziabad, terming the matter as sensitive, expressed its inability to give more information to the media. Police sources say that Naveen Pal, an employee of the Ministry of External Affairs, was befriended by a Pakistani woman named Anjali. This Pakistani woman had described herself as a resident of Kolkata. In Naveen’s phone, her phone number is found saved in the name of Anjali.
In the investigation of the Indian Investigation Agency, the location of this Pakistani woman has been found in Karachi. The Pakistani woman had also given 85 thousand rupees to Naveen Pal for providing these documents.
It is feared that the wires of this woman may be connected with Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. Preparations can be made to take action against Naveen Pal under NSA.
