New Delhi/Ghaziabad/Noida : Today, India expelled another official of Pakistan High Commission at New Delhi for indulging in such activities which is not as per his diplomatic status The said official was declared persona non grata — a term used when a foreign diplomat is no longer welcome in the host country —and he is asked to leave India within 24 hours.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said, “The Government of India has declared a Pakistani official, working at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, persona non grata for indulging in activities not in keeping with his official status in India. The official has been asked to leave India within 24 hours.”
The Charge d’Affaires of the Pakistan High Commission posted at New Delhi was summoned and handed over a formal demarche — a strong diplomatic protest. Further the official was also told to ensure that no Pakistani diplomat here in India misuses their privileges of diplomatic status.

“Charge d’Affaires, Pakistan High Commission, was issued a demarche to this effect on Wednesday. He was asked to strictly ensure that none of the Pakistani diplomats or officials posted at New Delhi on diplomatic mission in India misuse their privileges and diplomatic status in any manner,” the MEA reiterated.
