Ghaziabad: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the historic and revered Shri Dudheshwarnath Mahadev Math Temple in Ghaziabad on Saturday as part of his district tour. The Chief Minister performed Jalabhishek and offered special prayers to Lord Dudheshwar, seeking peace, prosperity, good health, and the overall welfare of the people of Uttar Pradesh.
He was accorded a traditional welcome by Shri Mahant Hari Giri Maharaj, Patron of the Juna Akhara and General Secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, along with Shri Mahant Narayan Giri Maharaj, Peethadheeshwar of the temple. Students of the Shri Dudheshwar Veda Vidyalaya welcomed the Chief Minister with Vedic chants, sacred hymns, and a floral reception.
During his visit, CM Yogi offered prayers at various shrines within the temple complex, paid homage at the samadhis of revered saints and gurus, and sought the blessings of Nandi Maharaj. He also interacted with Vedic scholars and Sanskrit students of the Dudheshwar Veda Vidyalaya, encouraging them to continue preserving India’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage.
Addressing the students, the Chief Minister said that the preservation and promotion of India’s ancient knowledge systems, Vedic traditions, Sanskrit language, and cultural values are vital for nation-building. He described Sanskrit as not merely a language but the eternal carrier of India’s civilizational wisdom and spiritual legacy, which has safeguarded the country’s cultural consciousness for generations.
Shri Mahant Hari Giri Maharaj praised the Chief Minister’s leadership, stating that Yogi Adityanath has set an example of inclusive development while promoting social harmony across Uttar Pradesh. Shri Mahant Narayan Giri Maharaj said that the people of the state are fortunate to have a saintly leader as Chief Minister, under whose leadership Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a model of development and earned recognition across India and abroad.
The Chief Minister also held discussions with Shri Mahant Narayan Giri Maharaj on Sanatan culture, spiritual traditions, and the preservation of Vedic heritage. He sought blessings from the saints present at the temple and reviewed the arrangements made for the ongoing Kanwar Yatra, the holy month of Shravan, and the upcoming Shravan Shivratri celebrations.
According to temple media in-charge S.R. Suthar, a large number of devotees gathered at the temple upon learning of the Chief Minister’s visit. CM Yogi greeted the devotees and acknowledged their presence before concluding his visit.
