UP / Amethi: UP’s Special Task Forces today arrested 9 persons allegedly making illegal synthetic liquor and seized 2 SUVs, 338 boxes and 8000 empty bottles from the spot where these persons were involved in making illegal synthetic liquor.
Alcohol mafias gets activated as and when election see announced and they were active following seeing the forth coming Lok Sabha general election 2019 besides derive season of Holi. In fact, during Holi festival uses of alchohol increases to many folds.
These illegal alchohol mafias make high amounts of raw alcohol for consumption during elections as it is very common to offer alchohol to woo voters specially from lower state. But this time the STF turned the tables on their heads. UP’s STF itself was activated to Nabbed illegal alchohol mafias and accordingly, acted upon on certain inputs they had and arrested 9 persons.
UP’s STF today arrested 9 people on a tip off for liquor making exercise under Amethi Mohanganj police station. The STF got information that some people are making illegal liquor inside Amethi.
According to the information, the STF took the matter seriously and swung into action and red handed caught 9 persons allegedly making synthetic liquor in Mohanganj area in Amethi and arrested nine people and seized 2 SUVs have also been recovered from their possession and illegal liquor was also recovered from the spot.
