The 41st India International Trade Fair inaugurated by Union Commerce & Industry Minister Sri Piyush Goyal today here in Delhi, based on the theme of “Vocal For Local, Local to Global”. In this trade fair, 29 Indian states & union territory and many foreign countries like Nepal, Iran, China etc. are participating through their’s handloom & handicraft, Khadi & village industry, organic products, silk-cotton industries, traditional handicraft, organic food, organic farming etc. which are main attractions of this fair this year. Focused states of this trade fair are; UP, Bihar, Jharkhand and participating states and union territories are including; Kerala, Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Delhi, North eastern states etc.
Union Commerce Minister; Sri Piyush Goyal in his inaugural address suggested ITPO to hold trade fair or similar fair twice in a year another during May or June during this period often people enjoying summer vacation and crossing north India dedicated to showcase swadeshi capabilities and its emerging strength of every city so that entrepreneurship and promotion of women entrepreneurs can also be given due importance atleastat small level through this national platform. Sri Goyal further added that women entrepreneurs and medium & small enterprises can be encouraged to show case their potential & growth as well to further promote the vision of our Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi’s vision of “Vocal for Local’ and “Startups” to promote economic growth of the country and industrial output for the development of our country. Such opportunity can take place if such fair are organized on anational platform like trade fair organized by ITPO which will also give boost to the entrepreneurship and startups.
First time in the history of India Trade Fair Organisation(ITPO), this trade fair is being organized in an area of 73 thousand sq feet wherein 29 states & union territories besides many foreign countries are also participating through their rich cultural heritage of folk/region alongwith handloom & handicraft, Khadi & village industry, organic products, silk-cotton industries, traditional handicraft, organic food, organic farming etc. and are also promoting their village industries, khadi & village industry, medium & small scale industries, organic farming and organic products of respective states.
During inaugural addresses the commerce ministers of the states and or senior officers of the respective states also invited the industrialists, business entrepreneurs to invest and start their businesses in their respective states after offering various incentives, single window approval and or red carpet treatmentoffred by the states which were highlighted and other plans of the respective states were also briefed. Most of the ministers including senior officers of the states or union territories referred the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi of “Local for Vocal” and asked the entrepreneurs to join their hands for economic growth of the state as well as the country and to harvest the profit of the investment by their company highlighting opportunities of the state concerned. Union State Commerce & Industri Minister Smt Anupriya Patel, Jharkhand Commerce Ministers Sri Thakur, Maharashtra Commerce Minister Sri Sawant, Kerala Industry Minister and other senior officers of many states & union territory also addressed to the gathering during inauguration ceremony of 41st India International Trade Fair.
