In Gautam Buddha Nagar, on Thursday, the first phase allocation of liquor shops through lottery for the year 2025-26 under the Excise Policy 2025 of UP was completed in the Collectorate premises under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Uttar Pradesh Mukesh Meshram and DM Manish Kumar Verma.
The newly created country liquor, model shop, composite and cannabis shops of the Excise Department were allotted through online e-lottery through LED screen. District Excise Officer Subodh Kumar said that first, in the presence of all the applicants who came in the process of operation and management of the shops, first a simulation of all types of shops was done, in which by taking seed numbers from three different people, the probability of all the applicants was shown to be equal through simulation and thereafter the result of allocation of each type of shop was declared through randomization.
He said that under the first phase of the process of operation and management of excise shops through e-lottery for the year 2025-26, a total of 6300 applications received for 234 shops of country liquor in the district, 11218 applications for 239 shops of composite shop, 689 applications for 27 shops of model shop and a total of 22 applications for one shop of bhang shop, a total of 18229 applications for 501 shops were arranged in the slot of 4 pm.
