Ghaziabad: In a shocking incident that has once again put the Ghaziabad Police under scrutiny, two constables from the Kavinagar police station — Sachin Kumar and Rahul Kumar — have been arrested for allegedly conspiring to help a prisoner escape from Dasna Jail.
According to reports, the two policemen had planned to take inmate Bijendra out of jail without permission or following any formal procedure. They reportedly intended to use their private vehicle for the escape.
However, the jail superintendent noticed suspicious movements during the prisoner’s scheduled court appearance and immediately initiated an inquiry. The investigation revealed the shocking plan to facilitate the inmate’s escape.
Following a written complaint by the Reserve Inspector, an FIR was registered against both constables for criminal conspiracy. The accused officers have since been arrested and sent to jail.
The case has raised serious questions about the integrity of the Ghaziabad Police. Authorities have assured a thorough investigation and strict action against those found guilty. The incident also underscores the importance of vigilance within the jail and police administration to prevent such breaches of security.
