Karnal: An afternoon was hosted by Liberty shoes as they hosted the 68th national channel meet. The activity was hosted at the Liberty shoe factory in Karnal.
“Footwear firm Liberty Shoes is looking at opening about 50 stores over the next one year as part of expansion plans and targetting an annual revenue of Rs 1,000 crore by 2020.The company, which has about 12 sub-brands in its portfolio, is planning to introduce some new varieties in footwear products and mulling stepping up its retail presence. The company’s current annual revenue stands at about Rs 800 crore” said Mr. Raman Bansal Executive Director and COO- Liberty Shoes Ltd.
As a business strategy, Liberty shoes have identified around 250 cities in India for retail expansion through franchising over next 4 – 5 years. Liberty shoes is a mass brand and we need to strengthen our presence beyond top towns. These 250 cities are essentially tier 2 and tier 3 cities where we would want to be accessible to consumers. Besides new stores the company is redesigning most of its stores with focus on special category and the modern retail interface.
During the 68th National channel meet, brand has introduced a wide range of products, including an affordable yet stylish range of accessories (leather and non-leather both) with a brand name LFO. LFO price range starts from rs499 and goes upto rs2999.
Liberty, the second largest shoe manufacturing company in Asia, sells its products at 430 exclusive stores and through more than 5,000 multi-brand outlets.
