Ghaziabad. An advocate was shot dead by his own relative advocate in Tehsil premises here on Wednesday. The murder of a lawyer in broad daylight created a sensation in the tehsil. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for postmortem.
The incident happened on Wednesday around 1.30 pm. Advocate Manoj Chaudhary alias Monu was having lunch sitting in his chamber number-95 in Tehsil. Only then advocate Nitin Dagar arrived and as soon as he entered the cabin, he shot at advocate Manoj Chowdhary with a pistol in film style. This bullet hit Manoj Chowdhary directly in the chest and he died on the spot. Police say that advocate Nitin Dagar fled from the spot after being shot.
Police say that Manoj Chaudhary and Nitin Dagar are relatives and they seem to be brother-in-law. Both practiced law together in the same chamber. Brother-in-law Nitin Dagar shot dead his brother-in-law in a fit of anger due to deep resentment between the two in some domestic and personal matter.
DCP Dinesh Kumar P says that a search is on for the absconding murderer advocate Nitin Dagar. The reasons for the murder will be known only after interrogating him.
