Bareilly: Special Task Force unit of Agra got success in arresting accused who were absconding in Gold smugling case and for wanted for quite some time.
The STF recoverd the Aadhar card, diary and news paper cuttings and some money.
STF field unit of Agra had input about accused of Gold Smugling hidden there. In this regards circle Officer Shyam Kant and Inspector Harshvardhan made a team for arresting the accused.
As per information the accused was about to move Kasganj through Dehradun and further to Bareilly but due to activness of STF team he was arrested by STF near Bareilly Junction.
As per inquiry it came to know that accused namely Mohammad Asif a resident of Kasganj, UP who had a business of selling auto parts from Karolbagh New Delhi to Kenya the capital of Nairobi, outside of India with the help of his brother who has been living in Kenya.
But in November 2017 he was arrested from Delhi Airport for smugling of gold. Meantime, he was arrested red handed he got bail from Patiala House court on Delhi since then he was absconding.
