Mumbai/Goa: Veteran actor Nana Patekar passed away at around 5:20 AM at his residence after suffering a cardiac arrest, according to Dr. Shekhar Salkar, Head of the Oncology Department at Manipal Hospital.
Dr. Salkar said that doctors administered CPR for nearly 45 minutes in an attempt to revive the actor, but he could not be saved.
A Medico-Legal Case (MLC) has been registered, and the actor’s postmortem examination will be conducted as part of the formal medical and legal procedures.
Nana Patekar, 75, was one of Indian cinema’s most respected actors, known for his powerful performances and distinctive screen presence across Hindi and Marathi films.
