WAE, a renowned innovator in hydration solutions, is making waves in the hospitality industry with its latest endeavour: the Glass Bottle Filling Plant (GBFP), now proudly serving Hilton Hotel, Mumbai. This remarkable initiative is set to usher in a new era of sustainability by introducing reusable glass bottles, bidding farewell to single-use plastics for good.

The primary goal of this scientifically designed glass bottle filling plant is to combat the
harmful use of plastics in the hospitality sector. In January 2019, the Food Safety and Standards Association of India (FSSAI) took a significant step by banning the use of plastics and newspapers for packaging food items. Now, FSSAI’s latest directive emphasizes the adoption of glass bottles over plastic ones at hotels, restaurants, and resorts. Notably, these glass bottles are intended exclusively for on-premises use, in alignment with the regulation.

WAE’s GBFP is a game-changer in the hospitality sector, featuring innovative, hi-tech, and state-of-the-art technology. This machine is designed to rinse, clean, fill, and cap recyclable glass bottles with pure drinking water efficiently and hygienically.
The process begins with manually placing the bottles upside down on the machine for cleaning and rinsing with hot water or detergents—an adaptable process. Subsequently, these cleaned bottles move along a conveyor belt to be dried by air. Following this, the bottles pass through an LED chamber for further cleaning and sterilization.

Next comes the filling stage, where the bottles are filled with pristine drinking water. They are then subject to manual inspection for quality assurance. Finally, the glass bottles are securely capped to prevent spillage, and labels or stickers are applied. This technologically advanced machinery, recently installed at Hilton Mumbai, stands as the optimal choice for luxury hotels, restaurants, and resorts in the hospitality sector.

Glass is the preferred choice over plastic due to its natural composition, eliminating concerns about leaching or chemical reactions. Furthermore, glass is considered a more sustainable alternative to plastic.

WAE’s GBFP offers complete and sustainable solutions to the bottling sector, covering water purification, bottle rinsing and cleaning, filling, capping, and manual inspections for quality control. These bottling plants are fully customizable, accommodating various bottle shapes and sizes, meeting the diverse requirements of clients.

In a world increasingly conscious of environmental impact, WAE’s Glass Bottle Filling Plant stands as a beacon of innovation and sustainability in the hospitality industry. By adopting this eco-friendly approach, hotels, restaurants, and resorts can not only reduce their environmental footprint but also offer their patrons a more responsible and sustainable drinking water solution.
