Srinagar | October 28, 2025 — Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday hit back at the BJP, accusing the party of hypocrisy for alleging bias against the Hindu-majority Jammu region.

Responding to BJP’s claims that his government discriminated during flood relief distribution, Omar pointed out that the BJP-led Central Government has excluded Muslims from the Union Cabinet, questioning the party’s commitment to inclusivity.

“The BJP should first explain why there isn’t a single Muslim minister in the Central Cabinet before lecturing others on bias,” Omar said, addressing reporters in Srinagar.

The remarks have intensified the ongoing political row, with the opposition accusing the BJP of marginalizing minority representation at the national level.
