Delhi-NCR , October 28 — The air quality across Noida and the Delhi-NCR region has deteriorated sharply, crossing the 300 AQI mark and entering the “very poor” category. Residents are struggling to breathe as thick layers of smog and dust engulf the city.
Major roads are witnessing slow-moving traffic due to route diversions and barricades, further worsening pollution levels. Tall buildings and city landmarks are barely visible through the dense haze, highlighting the gravity of the air pollution crisis.
Environmental experts have warned that prolonged exposure to such toxic air can cause severe respiratory issues, especially for children, the elderly, and those with asthma or heart conditions. Authorities have urged citizens to stay indoors, use N95 masks when stepping out, and avoid outdoor exercise.
The worsening air quality serves as yet another reminder of the urgent need for sustainable measures to tackle pollution in the NCR region.
