Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand: A motorcycle carrying three people met with an accident near Bhairav Ghati on the Gangotri National Highway on Wednesday, leaving two riders injured and one person missing.
The injured individuals were shifted to a nearby hospital through the 108 ambulance service for medical treatment. Their condition has not been officially disclosed.
The missing person has been identified as Suresh Lamba (26), a native of Nepal, who has remained untraceable since the accident.
Teams of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), along with the district administration, have launched an intensive search and rescue operation to locate the missing man.
Authorities are continuing rescue efforts, and further details regarding the cause of the accident and the condition of the injured are awaited.
