Patna/Kolkata | October 28, 2025 — Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor found himself in a new controversy on Tuesday after reports surfaced that he is allegedly registered as a voter in both Bihar and West Bengal’s Bhabanipur constituency, represented by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
According to official records, Kishor’s name appears on the voters’ list in West Bengal with an address at 121, Kalighat Road, Kolkata — the Trinamool Congress headquarters — located within the Bhabanipur Assembly constituency, from where Mamata Banerjee serves as MLA.
The revelation reportedly emerged from the West Bengal Election Office, raising questions about possible violations of electoral rules that prohibit dual voter registration in different states.
Neither Kishor nor his party has issued an official statement on the matter yet.
