The Uttar Pradesh Police Badminton and Table Tennis Championship 2026, held in Moradabad from July 23 to July 26, concluded on a high note with police personnel from across the state displaying exceptional sporting talent and competitive spirit.
The four-day championship featured participation from teams representing all Uttar Pradesh Police districts, zones, commissionerates, PAC Eastern, Central and Western Zones, as well as the Radio Zone. The event served as a platform for police personnel to showcase their athletic excellence while promoting teamwork, discipline, and camaraderie.
One of the tournament’s most notable achievements came in the badminton event, where Sub-Inspector Varun Panwar of the Agra Police Commissionerate and his doubles partner Head Constable Kadim Ali from Jhansi District, Kanpur Zone, emerged as champions by winning the Gold Medal.
The duo impressed throughout the competition with their outstanding coordination, consistency, and determination, ultimately securing the top podium finish against strong competition from across the state.
The championship concluded with the recognition of outstanding performers and reaffirmed the Uttar Pradesh Police’s commitment to encouraging sports and physical fitness among its personnel. The gold medal victory by SI Varun Panwar and HC Kadim Ali stands as a proud achievement for the Agra Police Commissionerate and Kanpur Zone.
