Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh: Thousands of devotees gathered at the historic Dudheshwar Nath Temple on the auspicious first day of the holy month of Sawan to offer prayers and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. From the early hours of the morning, long queues of worshippers were seen waiting patiently to perform Jalabhishek and offer milk, sacred water, bel leaves, and other traditional offerings to the Shivling.

The temple premises echoed with chants of “Har Har Mahadev” and “Bam Bam Bhole,” creating a deeply spiritual and devotional atmosphere. Devotees from Ghaziabad and neighbouring districts visited the revered temple, which is considered one of the most significant Shiva shrines in the region.

Special arrangements were made by the local administration and police to ensure the smooth movement of devotees. Security personnel were deployed across the temple complex, while crowd management measures and traffic regulations were put in place to facilitate a safe and orderly pilgrimage.

The holy month of Sawan holds immense religious significance for devotees of Lord Shiva. The first day of Sawan marks the beginning of a month-long period of fasting, prayers, and special rituals, attracting thousands of devotees to Shiva temples across the country.

The Dudheshwar Nath Temple, renowned for its historical and religious importance, continues to witness an overwhelming turnout of worshippers every year during Sawan, reaffirming its status as one of the major centres of faith in Uttar Pradesh.
