New Delhi : In the ongoing India International Trade Fair 2018 in Pragati Maidan, Delhi apart from the business and trade from all over world there are many unique programs of social services as well. CSR Research Foundation In collaboration with ONGC Limited and ITPO has made special arrangement for women, Senior Citizens and differently abled persons. Sanitary napkins vending machines constitutively 4th time in the history of India International Trade Fair have been installed outside the Women toilets, through which free sanitary napkins are being provided to female visitors to meet out their emergency needs. With this, in the 38 year history of the trade fair it is for the third time when while considering the facilities required by the senior citizens and the different abled visitors rest lounge has been built near gate number 1 Pragati Maidan having Facilities with tea, coffee refreshment,massage and e-rickshaw facility for their convenient visit.
Speaking on the occasion Shri Deendayal Agarwal, Chairman of CSR Research Foundation said that the thought behind the initiative of providing free sanitary napkins is to boost the confidence among the women and to make it convenient for them to step out of their homes without any fear of emergency in their mind. Moreover, such facilities become important in trade fair organised at Pragati Maidan as women working and visiting here are more in number and such initiatives term out to be beneficial for them and helps them their outdoor activities. In addition to this our initiative is a step towards realising the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi vision of “CLEAN- INDIA HEALTHY – INDIA”. Apart from this motivation, the idea behind making arrangements of rest lounge for senior citizens and differently abled persons is to provide them both emotionally and physically support making their visit a happy and convenient visit. Both the initiative that is Installation of Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine and Senior Citizen Loungh. which are being undertaken by our organisation are throughout receiving great support and appreciation from the public at large. Which indeed is increasing our commitments and confidence to serve the people with such ideal initiatives in the future also.
