Bulandshahr: A sub inspector of PS Anupshar was suspended for allegedly demanding bribe for police verification regarding govt job.
It is to be informed that Bhikki Giri son Dharampal Giri resident of village Maujpur Police Station, Anupshahar, Bulandshahar. His son got selected in Railway Security Forces, required police verification for this job. Bhikki informed by phone to Senior Superintendent of Police Bulandshahar that Sub Inspector Rakesh Kumar, posted in Police Station Anupshahar, had come his home for police verification of Bhikki’s son. Sub inspector demanded ₹ 5000 to do the right police verification. A video in this regard was made available by the victim on SSP WhatsApp number, in which SI Rakesh Kumar is clearly saying that without giving money I will not produce good report.
“The allegations leveled against SI Rakesh Kumar were found prima facie correct which has tarnished the image of the police force. SI Rakesh Kumar is suspended and further investigation is carry-on under supervision of Circle Office, Anup shahar,” said SSP Santosh Kumar Singh.
