Mumbai: Pioneering in innovation and having a rich legacy, Donear Group Companies became the first textile company, in India, to introduce the revolutionary product, Anti-viral fabrics under the brand GRADO.
The second wave of Covid-19 has severely impacted people’s health and also affected industries across sectors. In lieu of the pandemic, Rajendra Agarwal, Managing Director, Donear Group said, “The current situation is undeniably challenging. But, for our country, setting up infrastructure, aid from different countries and the procurement and roll out of vaccination for 18+ are measures through which we can combat it.
Although, the retail market sentiments have plateaued (for discretionary products like ours) for the past few weeks due to the lockdown, we are expecting the demand to rise with the upcoming Festive & Wedding season underway. Currently, we are focusing on doing our bit to help the economy by working on optimum production (including NEOTECH anti-viral fabrics), supplying to businesses / brands and the export market. We feel that there will be a bounce back in the foreseeable future and are optimistic about it.”
Further, he added, “While the way forward is through product innovation, building channel strength and diversifying (both in terms of business and product), there is an increasing need for brands to be sustainable. At Donear, we are conscious about the concept of sustainability and are devoted to making the most of the resources at our disposal. We have an effluent water treatment plant in our Amritsar factory premises and headquarters in Mumbai has been constructed based on Sustainable Development Guidelines ensuring the best use of space and energy with the lowest energy impact. More so, our overall carbon footprint from all our factories is minimal.”
