Ghaziabad: A five-day International Virtual Workshop On “4.0 Overseas (An Initiative to Develop Chat Room On Industry 4.0)” was organized by Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, KIET Group of Institutions Ghaziabad, in association with International Academic Partner FACENS University, Brazil. It was inaugurated in the presence of the Chief Guest of the event Dr. Sunil Vadera, Professor, University of Salford, Manchester , Great Manchester , United Kingdom, Dr. Paulo Carvalho, Dean FACENS University Brazil , Dr. Regiane Romano, Professor ,FACENS University, Mr. Antonio, Mr. Kelvin Santos, Eng. Mauro Ruiz from FACENS University, Dr. Anil Ahlawat, Dean, Dr. Neeraj Gupta Head, Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department, KIET Ghaziabad.
The workshop was inaugurated by the chief guest of the event Dr. Sunil Vadera, Professor, University of Salford, Manchester, Great Manchester, United Kingdom. He gave his best wishes for the MOU signed between the KIET Ghaziabad and FACENS University Brazil and also for the collaboration and future work. He also congratulated Dr. Neeraj Gupta for achieving 100 percent placement this year. He highlighted the major challenges in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT and Robotics. He also expressed that workshop like 4.0 Overseas could be a great step in reducing the gap between Industries and Academia.
Dr. Paulo Carvalho, Dean, FACENS, with his very motivating speech said “This is a very important and significant time for both Brazil and India as well as for FACENS and KIET. FACENS is very innovative, dynamic, and flexible, always striving to move ahead taking the best of everything in real time solutions. FACENS is going to inaugurate its INDUSTRY 4.0 Laboratory with 5G soon which is one of a kind for any University in Brazil. He also said, “The pandemic taught us education sector should move on to online learning mode which has explored long digital distance learning. Let’s make a BRAZIL-INDIA technical event!”
Dr. Anil Ahlawat, Dean KIET, expressed his gratitude and thanked the international academic partner FACENS University Brazil. He highlighted the main achievements of KIET Ghaziabad towards academic excellence in terms of the ranks of KIET in NIRF ranking, NBA accreditation, NAAC accreditation, QS Gauge ranking etc. He acknowledged that the faculty and management of KIET are committed to excel further several number of MoU’s with national and international organizations, centers of excellence and students’ recognition on international platform, research projects, consultancy work and collaborative publications.
Dr. Neeraj Kumar Gupta, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics put forth the complete background and purpose of the workshop. He expressed his plans on future international placements for KIET students in Brazil, US, Canada etc. At the same time, he welcomed all the researchers and teachers who came together, appealed to them for their cooperation.
The event coordinator, Dr. Nitin Kumar Saxena, congratulated all the organizers in advance for the success of the program keeping in mind the objectives, program and success of the institute in the development of technology. Dr. Shruti Pandey, Prof. Piyush Ojha and Dr Natwar Singh Rathore hosted the event and maintained their technical support for the whole program.
Prof. Kapil Gandhi, while thanking everyone expressed happiness on the arrival of all the visitors and expressed confidence that the event would give birth to a new vision to the institute, and this will prove to be a milestone in the field of technological development in the years to come.
