Ex. minister Haji Yakub Qureshi’s gangster son Firoz alias Bhura arrested by Meerut Police

Ghaziabad/Meerut: Former minister Haji Yakub Qureshi’s gangster son Firoz alias Bhura has arrested on Monday by Meerut Police. Firoz was wanted criminal on Meerut Police. There was declared reward of Rs 25,000 on his arresting.

He was absconding for eight months. SP Dehat Keshav Kumar said, the arrest has been made from Vasundhara of Ghaziabad district.

On March 31, 2022, the police had raided Al Faheem Mitex Private Limited Company in Kharkhoda police station area, from where the police caught illegal meat packaging and processing. The police had filed a case. Former minister Haji Yakub Qureshi, his son Haji Imran, Haji Firoz and wife Sanjeeda were named accused in FIR.

In this case, name accused Sanjeeda Begum has got bail from the court. Firoz and Imran along with Yakub have been absconding since then. Attachment action has been taken on his property. The police had started action under the gangster. After the DM’s recommendation, sections of the Gangster Act were also extended against him.

On Monday, the police arrested Haji Firoz, the son of absconding Haji Yakub. SP Dehat Keshav Kumar said, the arrest has been made from Vasundhara of Ghaziabad district. Inquiry is going on. Absconding former minister and his son can be arrested shortly, said police sources
