Doctors Protest Incident at Astha Hospital in Ghaziabad, Meet Police Commissioner

In protest against the incident that took place on the night of May 18 at Astha Hospital in Ghaziabad’s Vijay Nagar police station area, a large number of doctors and members of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) met with the Police Commissioner today. The doctors expressed their anger over police inaction and demanded strict action against those responsible.

According to Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, the owner of Astha Hospital, the relatives of a female patient created a ruckus at the hospital, expressing dissatisfaction during treatment. It is alleged that not only did they verbally abuse and misbehave with the doctors and medical staff, but they also misbehaved with female employees present at the hospital.

Dr. Rajoura stated that the police were immediately informed after the shameful incident, and a case was registered. However, no strict action has been taken against the accused so far, leading to widespread anger in the medical community.

Doctors’ Protest and Demands

Doctors associated with the IMA and other hospitals united to meet with the Police Commissioner. They warned that if swift action is not taken, they will launch a large-scale protest. They also emphasized that such incidents not only demoralize doctors but also hinder the delivery of medical services.
