Ghaziabad: In view of the ongoing Kanwar Yatra, an Integrated Control Room has been inaugurated at Ghaziabad’s Meerut Tiraha to strengthen the security of Kanwariyas and ensure smooth traffic management across the city.
More than 2,200 CCTV cameras have been installed across the district, covering the major Kanwar routes and key locations. The entire movement along the Kanwar Yatra routes is being continuously monitored through the Integrated Control Room.
Officials are keeping a close watch on the Kanwar routes through live CCTV feeds. The surveillance system is aimed at quickly identifying crowd build-up, traffic congestion or any other situation requiring immediate intervention.
Focus on Kanwariyas as well as General Public
Ghaziabad DCP City Dhawal Jaiswal said that special arrangements have been made not only for the safety of Kanwariyas but also for people who may face traffic-related difficulties during the Kanwar Yatra.
He said that route diversions have been implemented to ensure smooth traffic movement and minimise inconvenience to commuters. The Integrated Control Room is playing an important role in monitoring traffic conditions and coordinating necessary action whenever required.
The administration is focusing on ensuring the safe movement of Kanwariyas while maintaining smooth traffic flow across Ghaziabad. With extensive CCTV coverage and round-the-clock monitoring, authorities are keeping a close watch on the entire Kanwar route during the Yatra.
