Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took this decision in a meeting with officials in the capital Lucknow. This decision will be reviewed on March 20, after which further decision will be taken. The Yogi government has declared Corona an epidemic.
After the meeting, CM Yogi Adityanath told a press conference that 11 cases of corona virus have been reported so far in UP. 10 are being treated in Delhi and one is being treated at King George Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow. We had been preparing for almost a month and a half to fight Corona and we have all the means of defense. There are 448 berths reserved in 24 medical colleges. These medical colleges also have sample checkups.
Isolation ward will be made in every district
CM Yogi has taken several important decisions in the meeting regarding Corona. These include all doctors and paramedics used to treat corona patients, isolation wards to be made in all medical colleges, adequate surveillance system should be put in place on all borders, DMs of all districts are ordered to inspect screening centers on state borders, Suitable kits and safe gear for isolation ward should be provided in all hospitals.
Yogi gave details of the preparations of the administration
In addition, CM Yogi gave details of the administration preparations for the corona virus. Yogi Adityanath said that 820 beds are in district government hospitals. There are 448 beds in government and private medical colleges. The center of NIV Pune is at Gorakhpur Medical College. They have basic virus detection facilities. Samples will also be taken there. Instructions have also been given to develop the lab at BHU.
11 case positives in U.P.
Yogi said, ‘IMA’s cooperation is also being sought. 11 are case positive. 10 are being treated in Delhi and one in Lucknow. The Basic Education Council will run handbills, posters and awareness campaigns in all schools. Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Department will conduct awareness programs in every block. Awareness will be spread in secondary and higher educational institutions.
