Lucknow/Mathura. In an encounter with Uttar Pradesh STF, Pankaj Yadav, a criminal with a bounty of Rs 1 lakh, was killed. This encounter took place in the Farah police station area of Mathura, in which Pankaj Yadav was killed. A pistol, a revolver, cartridges and a bike have also been recovered from the spot. The slain criminal Pankaj Yadav had about 40 cases registered against him like murder, robbery, dacoity and extortion.
Pankaj Yadav was also accused of killing a policeman who was a witness in the contractor Manna Singh murder case in Mau. He was absconding for a long time. Pankaj Yadav was killed in an encounter with the team of STF Deputy SP Dharmesh Shahi. According to the information given by the UP STF, an encounter took place with Pankaj Yadav, a contract killer who used to kill for hire for Mukhtar Ansari and Bihar’s mafia Shahabuddin and other gangs, in the Farah police station area of Mathura district in the early hours of Wednesday at around 5.20 pm. Pankaj Yadav was injured by a bullet in the encounter. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead.
According to UP STF, Pankaj Yadav, who committed the sensational murder of the main witness of Manna Singh murder case and his police security guard, had more than 3 dozen criminal cases registered against him. A reward of one lakh was also declared on him. Pankaj Yadav was a resident of village Tahirapur, police station Ranipur, Mau district. 1 pistol, 32 bore and 1 revolver, 1 two-wheeler have been recovered from the spot. One accused managed to escape from the spot, who is being searched in the nearby police station areas.
