NCR: Parents of children studying in the schools of Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon and other NCR area came together in huge numbers and started protest against schools of NCR areas for fixing school fees during Covid pandemic and expect government to issue a fresh office order instead of a regular school fees due to suspended regular classes. The parents are agitating and now they have decided to actively protest and press their demand on the 14th March 2021, Sunday at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, from 2 pm to 5 pm.

The parents are protesting against the authoritarian actions of the private schools and Governments’ calosious behaviour towards these helpless parents. Many parents from different states will be participating in the protest and will take active part in this protest at Jantar Mantar on 14th March.

Founder of GPWS; Manoj Kataria has expressed his concerns over the limited time granted for their protest. He feels that the voices of parents will not reach the Government Bodies in this short span. Although Parent Associations have made elaborate preparation for this protest. So association members feels seeing their heavily preparedness for this protest, they must to be heard patiently.

Parents alongwith their state associations have been trying hard to convince the school’s authorities but all their voice is going to deaf and dumb. On the other hand, Government is also not working on the issue for a justified fee structure during the period of complete lockdown due to the pandemic and they are demanding full fees for 11 months where the schools were completely closed and classes were conducted online. However school authority had very limited expenditure for the period including wages paid to the teachers half of the normal salary they usually draw.

The schools are continuing to charge full fees, online classes were shut down, kids were barred from taking exams and were getting totally demotivated. No State Government has been able to take any action against these errant private schools, rather schools are being heavily supported in their actions.

Hence, this protest is being carried out to make parent’s’ voice louder and clear and the voices of lac of people ust be heard by the concerned authority and a reasonable office order is required to be issued by the concerned authorities. Manoj Kataria, Chief Patron of Gautambudh Nagar Parents Welfare Society; Seema Tyagi, President of Ghaziabad Parents Association and President of Gurgaon Parents Association; Pradeep Rawat have appealed to all parents to participate in this protest with huge numbers and show their solidarity towards the cause on 14 March 2021, Sunday at Jantar Mantar, Delhi, 2 pm to 5 pm.

The press release issued on behalf of Gautambudh Nagar Parents Welfare Society,
Ghaziabad Parents Association
Gurgaon Parents Association and on behalf of all aggrieved parents of NCR.
