Ghaziabad/ Noida| Remember if you are driving in Noida be cautious, you can be challaned for driving a car(LMV) without helmet. It can all happens in Noida, GB Nagar and it’s traffic police issues a challan against your vechile irrespective of class of vehicle.

Yes, this has happened to one Sri Ajay Kumar Gupta a resident of Raj Nagar Extension in Ghaziabad whose car was at his residence but a challan video challan No.:-UP42315250224121021 dated 22/06/24 at 06:52:00 at Haridarshan for penalty of Rs 1000/- for violation/offence without helmet against vehicle No. UP14CE 8808 registerd in his name who was in Maharashtra on that day.

He was amazed to see the message and was very surprised. “I was surprised to see the message of challan against my car(LMV) which was lying at home. But after noting details of the challan I found it was actually for a motor cycle but NOIDA Pilice issued against my vehicle” described by Sri Ajay Kumar Gupta. But after going through the challan hard copy he found that the said challan no bears a photo of a Motor cycle without helmet although the display of Number plate describes no as of UP 14DE 8808 which was alloted to a motor cycle.

The NOIDA police couldn’t differentiate CE and DE resulting the challan was issued against a car which reveals the pressure on police personnel for issuing challan without verifying the same which leads to wrongly issuance of traffic challans.

This Correspondent tried to contact Sri Singh Yadav, DCP Traffic Noida, G B Nagar but there was no response from him. He was also shared application sent by Sri Ajay Kumar Gupta addressed to Commissioner, NOIDA/G B Nagar Police and DGP, UP Police Lucknow on his WhatsApp numbers even though there was no response from DCO Traffic.

You are rightly seeing this news item. But the photo clearly differenciate a motor cycle and there is no involvement of the car in question, against whom a challan is issued for the offence, as described above.

The owner of the car Sri Gupta had sent an e-mail to Commissioner of G B Nagar police and Director General of UP Police, Lucknow respectively for bringing this matter to their notice and cancellation of the same. Infact he had to transfer the vehicle but it is awaited as the said challan is a hindrance in transfer of the vehicle. It can only be transferred either by on paying the challan amount and or waiting for cancellation of the challan in question.

Although it is not a fault of owner so paying of challan is unethical, illogical and illegal too. But this story has revealed the functioning of GB Nagar traffic police in issuance of challan in hush hush manner.
